About the Role

Dispatcher/Disaster Duty Officer Support local disaster responses from your home! Dispatch and support Red Cross

disaster responders. Liaison with local authorities by phone and computer. Responsibilities: Process requests from local

authorities, determining if Red Cross action is warranted based on event triggers (i.e., size, scope, and type of

event). All training provided, along with back-up support as needed. Dispatch disaster response teams & resources and

provide remote support. Complete and share documentation. Attend regularly scheduled meetings and stay current on all

training. Additional related duties as discussed with supervisor. Commitment: Virtual regional position using home phone
